Peso 2nd best performer in Asia

The peso is expected to remain one of the most stable currencies in the region as it emerged as the 2nd best performing currency after the Thai baht, according to the Department of Finance (DOF). Finance Undersecretary Gil Beltran said the peso appreciated by 2.82% to close at 51.07 to $1 on July 31 from 52.52 to $1 on Jan. 1.
